Collaboration sits at the heart of LMNT 115’s fast-growing universe, and today’s release of Paradise with Daya shows just how naturally their project evolves when the right artist steps in. Since their debut in late 2024, the duo have treated each track as a chance to widen their world rather than repeat a formula, and Paradise arrives as their most focused step forward yet.
This partnership began with admiration. They had been fans of Daya for years and sent her the demo “on a whim,” not expecting a response, but she connected with it immediately. Once she recorded her part, the track snapped into place. “It was the exact tone and feel we wanted,” they explain, describing the process as effortless and unexpectedly aligned. We spoke with them a few days ago about how this collaboration came together, the resilience woven into their visuals, and the new projects they’re already shaping for 2026.
Your name comes from Element 115 and the idea of a connection that has followed you since childhood. When did that idea turn into a real project?
The concept had been with us for years, but it became a real project once the timing finally made sense. When Fab and I decided to dive in and dedicate ourselves to it, everything started to fall into place and gain momentum. The deeper we got, the more the project revealed itself. We couldn't be happier with how it has developed.
Paradise is the focus track of your upcoming EP. What made this song stand out and become the centre of the release?
Paradise was one of those tracks that felt special from the moment we started working on it. When Daya came on board, it just confirmed what we already felt: that this track should be the centrepiece of the EP.
How did the collaboration with Daya start and what made you feel she was the right artist for this song?
We had been working on Paradise, the demo, for a while and trying different vocalists, but no one was really nailing it. As long-time fans of Daya’s, we sent it over to her manager on a whim, and we got a very quick response that she was interested. As soon as she cut the record, it was like the song came to life. It was the exact tone and feel we wanted for Paradise. It was a very effortless process. Also, it's DAYA, she’s a dance music icon, we are so proud to have her on this record with us!
Daya mentioned that the track brings back some of the energy of her earlier work. How did her approach influence the final version of the song?
We approached this track as a true collaboration. Daya brought a clear sense of direction and energy into the process, and it really helped shape where the song ended up. We went back and forth on different versions, from production to mix/master, until we landed on something that felt authentic to all of us. A version we’re genuinely proud of.
Your influences range from anime and manga to AI and futurism. How do these interests appear in your creative process?
World-building is a huge part of our identity and musical process; each song becomes its own universe. When we initially started the project, we started by developing our ‘characters’ and this gritty cyber city where they lived. I think this helped us bring a sense of grit and edge to the music. With Paradise, we wanted listeners not just to hear the music but to feel like they’re stepping into a whole experience, so for the visuals, it’s all about a false fantasy stuck between serene paradise and a colder, darker reality. We wanted Paradise to feel like you’re in a digital fever dream.
You released Out Of The Dark with Zak Abel and Holding On To Us with Brando earlier this year. What did those collaborations teach you?
This is an industry where you’re constantly learning something new, and every release is so different. But it’s been incredible to work with all these artists that we love, and hearing them bring our ideas to life is a crazy feeling. It’s definitely taught us that we truly love to collaborate — bringing an idea to an artist and trusting their process delivers the best results. It also taught us to take chances and not be afraid to explore genres we normally wouldn’t… and we have some big surprises in 2026 on that note ;)
Looking back at your first releases, what do you feel has changed the most in your sound or priorities?
A lot has changed in a short amount of time. We’ve always had a sense of what our sound is, but figuring out what direction to take next has been a learning process. As we’ve grown, we’ve become more intentional about how we present the LMNT 115 world, especially through our socials. That’s where we’ve seen the biggest evolution: not just in the music, but in how we share the experience around it.
You’ve described Z as the lyricist and Fab as the producer. How does this division of roles work when you start building a new track?
It usually starts with Z bringing in lyrics and a melody concept, and then Fab builds the production around that. But once that foundation is there, it becomes a full collaboration. We’re constantly bouncing ideas back and forth until the track finds its direction.
“We’ve always had a sense of what our sound is, but figuring out what direction to take next has been a learning process. As we’ve grown, we’ve become more intentional.”
Paradise feels uplifting but also grounded in clear emotions. What was the starting point when you first wrote it?
Paradise was first written to a rock/blues guitar riff, which I think gives it that core grounded, emotional feeling, and the production takes it to a different place. That juxtaposition is something we love to play with.
Your official debut was in late 2024 and the project has grown quickly since then. How have you managed that fast development?
When we started the project, we had no expectations, and to see it grow this quickly was surreal. Once we saw how listeners reacted, we stepped on the gas and haven’t let our foot off the pedal since. Knowing that people are engaged with us made us work ten times harder. Our goal is to make every song better than the last and to always be evolving. We’re still a work in progress, but we are here for the long haul. We’re locked in and excited for what's next!
You often mention themes such as resilience and perseverance through difficult moments. Do these ideas appear in Paradise or in the EP overall?
Absolutely. It's a running theme throughout this EP. It's more subtle in our music but very apparent in our visuals. There is a lot of symbolic storytelling of people getting out of hard situations or overcoming obstacles to be in a better place. For instance, in our music video for Holding On To Us, it's all about an AI romance escaping a world where they are only looked at as ‘help’. Or in Out Of The Dark, where a young girl bullied for having a pure soul makes it out of hardship and becomes a strong woman in charge of her own life. Our favourite part of these stories in our visuals is that they are symbolic of real-life issues that a lot of people can relate to.
You’ve said this track connects the sound of the full EP. What can you share about the direction or atmosphere of the project?
More than anything, Paradise is a full-circle moment. Our first release, Close to You, had a similar dark pop edge to it, and lyrically, they feel like a part one and part two. Paradise is the closing chapter to a great book that is our debut EP.
Working with an artist like Daya, who has experience across major stages and platforms, must bring a different dynamic. What did you take from that collaboration?
Our respect for Daya runs deep; she’s accomplished so much, and collaborating with someone of her caliber is something we were truly excited about. The creative input she brought was a big highlight. Sometimes you question it when a vocalist changes something you were proud of, but every creative decision Daya makes works, and you understand why she is in the position she is in. She's incredibly talented and so easy to work with.
With the release coming in less than a week, what do you hope listeners focus on when they hear Paradise for the first time?
There are lots of juicy little adlibs and layered vocals, that’s something to dive into on the first listen.
What is the next step for LMNT 115 after this single?
There’s a lot in motion for 2026! We’ve been building out some very exciting new features and collaborations that we can’t wait to share. We hope everyone keeps watching. We’re just getting started!
