Inspired by nineties club culture, Glowstick is the newest song by Life on Planets, the solo project of singer and guitarist Phill Celeste from Baltimore and musician Taylor Bense. It is the high-energy song perfect for the summer that draws influences from R&B, pop and trap and some deep-house grooves.
Taken from their new remix EP titled Only You (Remixes), out now through Kitsuné Musique, it also features other remixes by musicians of the likes of Soul Clap, Afriqua, Fred Everything, Jude Brown and Dudu Bembe. Both musicians have also decided to donate fifty per cent of the royalties from the song and one hundred per cents of the profits from the merchandise to Campaign Zero, which is a nonprofit organisation fighting against police violence in the United States.
This remix is light-hearted, fun and a joy to listen to, which is why Celeste and Bense are so grateful to the label, in their own words, “Many thanks to our awesome remixers and the team at Kitsune for making this a reality! We have gathered artists from far and wide to give our song new life and the music that has resulted has been incredible. Enjoy the new facets of our first collaboration!”
