Out today, Ksenia Lewis unveils Me, Myself, and I, a release that crystallises her unique blend of theatrical intensity, dark honesty, and anthemic power. The Worthing-born artist has built a reputation for delivering songs that feel both stadium-sized and deeply personal, and this track is no exception.
Drawing inspiration from Paramore, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park and Cassyette, Lewis has carved out a sound that fuses power pop, rock, and synthwave with flashes of neo-goth and industrial grit. Her background in acting and love for cinema inform not only her writing but also her stage presence, where music becomes performance in the fullest sense. With a seasoned live band at her side, her songs, stacked with hooks and powerful arrangements, translate into immersive experiences designed for big rooms and bigger emotions.
At the heart of her new single lies a confession turned into catharsis. “I was made to believe my whole life that I could only rely on myself. That I’d be stronger for not complaining. That I’d be an inconvenience to others if I did. That someone always has it worse than me,” she shares. “Even the people who were meant to help me—counsellors, doctors, adults—they failed me. I wonder what kind of person I’d be if someone had just noticed I wasn’t okay. The song is a way of making light of a very dark situation.”
Lewis signed to indie label DareDream Records in 2020, working with producers Paul Lennox and Greg Gordon, and despite pandemic delays, quickly built momentum. Between 2022 and 2023 she released five singles to critical acclaim, earning BBC Introducing support, spins on Radio 1, and a wave of social media traction. Alongside originals, she’s also released alternative versions, remixes, and viral reimaginings of Disney songs in her dark, “villainesque” style.
