Isabel Abbott’s musical adventure began on social media, where the performances she shared quickly went viral and placed her on the map of new voices to listen to. The talent and sensitivity shown by the singer-songwriter hailing from Valencia but now based in the Northern musical hotspot of Manchester won the hearts of thousands of listeners all over the world, to whom she now reveals Can I Call You Rose?, her rendition of Thee Sacred Soul’s reputable hit.
Recorded in Studio 1 at Rak Studios, where Rihanna, Adele, and Sam Smith have all recorded albums, the newcomer has accumulated over fourteen hundred pre-saves, with over a third arriving from the United States. This is one more example of the interest that Abbott's musical project has aroused—a feminist with beliefs, an artist who wants to show that women of any form can achieve what they set out to do. "Being in the studio was the first thing that woke me up; it kind of made me think all of this was real. Going in there and seeing all those people there to record me was so surreal," she comments.
The experience she lived recording Can I Call You Rose? in this iconic studio is a huge milestone in her career, and the singer is very excited to have had the opportunity to live this experience. "I've never had so many people believe in me before, and it just hit me what a crazy amazing opportunity and privilege this was. I think I'll remember that day forever." Forming a sound that places her soulful voice in R&B and pop instrumentals, she draws inspiration from household names including Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, and Rosalía. Her dream is to dedicate herself to music, her greatest passion since a very early age, and there is no doubt she is on the right track to achieve it.
