With a cinematic feel, beautiful and honest vocals, and simple but unmatched styling, FKA Twigs is back with the song and video Cellophane. After debuting in 2014 with LP1, the British singer now presents the first glimpse to her new work.
On Instagram, FKA Twigs stated that she “wrote Cellophane over a year ago, a visual narrative came to me immediately, I knew I had to learn how to pole-dance to bring it to life, and so that’s what I did”. Andrew Thomas Huang, the video’s director – and who’s worked with Björk several times, Kelela, and Serpentwithfeet before –, is the one behind the dreamy visuals starring the singer in Perspex stripper heels and fantasy-like underwear who ends up falling into a sort of hell populated by demons with masks.
