In the heart of the 11th arrondissement, a new kind of space is quickly becoming one of Paris's most sought-after creative addresses. In a single week, Espace Parallèle can shift from a store to a studio, a runway to a workshop and a radio to a ritual — not through rebuilding, just reconfiguration. Having been open for just over a year, the venue has already hosted the likes of New Balance, Pinterest, Sunnei, Nike and recently, us at METAL.
At 47 Rue Servan, in contrast with the delicate Haussmann architecture that defines so much of Paris, Espace Parallèle is an industrial escape. Silver pipes run across the ceiling in a way that is reminiscent of Andy Warhol’s The Factory, inviting you into what is quickly becoming a new cultural hub in the city. Upon entering the establishment, the interior is strikingly minimalist, offering a blank canvas for endless possibilities of artistic direction. In its simplicity, the space doesn’t impose an aesthetic; it provides a frame.
This frame is separated into two structures. The photography studio spans 90 square metres and is specifically equipped for film and photography, complete with studio lighting, blackout curtains and a make-up station. During shoots, the room does not compete for attention, but encourages flow. Editorial directors are supported by this space that knows when to listen and how to move. Every surface welcomes documentation, and the crisp white hands over full control of the scene. The showroom commands a different scale, facilitating brand presentations, fashion shows and art installations. At 200 square metres, the room is filled with natural light from the glass roof that crowns 4-metre-high ceilings. Movable partitions, a flexible lighting grid and concealed storage mean everything is designed to flex whilst remaining impactful. The combination of the neutral colour palette, high ceilings and overhead lighting creates a calm architecture that is designed to let the character of each guest flood the room.
The founder, Rifet Ahmecanovic, built Espace Parallèle to bridge the gap between creative worlds, using the space to inspire chaos and collaboration in equal measure. Around him are Creative Director Roberto Rigon, Growth Manager Ettore Carfagnini and Technical Director Lorenzo Marcolini. The close-knit team work to refine their vision and strengthen their production skills to host events that build connections and foster community. Their brand ethic is strong, encouraging expression, authenticity and innovation. These values are not just held personally by the team but are felt through how the rooms operate. As a modular form, the space is engineered to let identities run at full power. Espace Parallèle is more than just a venue; it is a meeting point for ideas, energy and art. Their method is simple: they host the conditions; you make the meaning.
One can immediately understand why designers, artists and labels keep choosing Espace Parallèle. The rooms wait to be transformed by whoever walks through the door, the only limitations being their four walls. You leave knowing the space held your energy without absorbing it, already reconfiguring itself for whoever comes next. Espace Parallèle doesn’t just offer square footage; it provides a strong yet adaptable framework where creativity can flourish. This space exists for anyone who needs a stage that’s alive, and every detail ensures that your designs take the spotlight. Bring your identity. Plug in. Make it culture.
