Can you feel it? Yes, it’s the bright sunshine on your skin once again. Summer is around the corner, and for many, it is the perfect time to travel and see the world. From sailing through the Mediterranean to taking flights to faraway islands, holidays are better when near the sea. They think the same at Dior, and like every summer for the past years, the Maison launches the perfect collection for those adventures: Dioriviera. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and found exclusively at special pop-up stores in places like Portofino, Ibiza, Mykonos, or the D-Maris Bay in Turkey, the new offer by the Creative Director fulfill’s everyone’s summer fantasies.
When thinking of summer dressing, what comes to mind? Exactly: a mélange of bright, beautiful colours, lightweight materials, breezy shapes, and materials like wicker. That’s precisely what Dioriviera is about. For the 2024 collection, the Maison launches two new Toile de Jouy prints: the Toile de Jouy Sauvage, which presents a landscape of lush nature, and Toile de Jouy Soleil, with a constellation of stars—both symbols are very engrained to Dior’s DNA, since Monsieur Dior loved both nature and had a particular fascination for astrology. These prints come in aquamarine, pale pink, lime yellow, coral, or navy blue, and they decorate everything from skirts to tops, to dresses, wide pants, blouses, overshirts and, of course, the Lady D-Lite and Dior Book Tot bags.
But as we all know, summer is all about the lifestyle. It’s that one time of the year where we allow ourselves to relax, practice our favourite hobbies, or try new things we’re excited for. That’s why Dioriviera also includes yoga matts, parasols, or deck chairs. Wellness and the Italian ‘dolce far niente’ have never looked better.
