We all know that fashion is influenced (and influences) the current zeitgeist. The collaboration between designers and high-profile figures including singers, athletes, artists, actors, and politicians can be traced back to many, many years ago. But if we bring this to our present-day, we find some very interesting results. For example, that of Kim Jones, Creative Director of Dior Men, designing a new collection of exclusive looks for the Paris Saint-Germain team for the 2023-2024 season.
Consisting of a Harrington jacket, Dior Explorer loafers with the emblematic CD monogram on the vamp, and a Hit the Road backpack and toiletry bag, the collection seamlessly combines comfort and elegance, putting the worlds of sports and high-fashion together. Of course, the players of PSG are also dressed in refined double-breasted suits enhanced with a lapel pin featuring the initials of Monsieur Christian Dior, and finally accessorised with a cashmere scarf, a silk tie, and a reversible belt.
