In a synergy of sports and fashion, Dior welcomes the multi-award winning para-cyclist Marie Patouillet as an ambassador for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Maison, who has also recently tapped wheelchair tennis player Pauline Déroulède and skater Aurélien Giraud, keeps enriching the list of athlete ambassadors with another member  who will represent all the principles she embodies in para-cycling competitions.
Marie Patouillet was born with a malformation in her left foot, resulting in an imbalance in leg length. She began cycling in 2017, and just a few years later, she won two bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and five silver medals at the Para-cycling Track World Championships. Her appointment as ambassador not only acknowledges her sporting achievements, but also her ability to inspire and motivate others to overcome obstacles.
The union of Dior with Patouillet reflects the transformative power of sports and fashion. The women’s collection, created by Maria Grazia Chiuri, celebrates those women who inspire through their actions. Thus, giving space to a person who is an example of self-improvement and commitment, once again enhances Dior’s values.
The biggest sports event of the year is getting closer, and Dior has wasted no time in assembling an impressive dream team of ambassadors. Patouillet joins the growing list of athletes embraced by the Maison, including familiar names such as gymnast Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos and the aforementioned Pauline Déroulède and Aurélien Giraud.
