Hey, festival-goers! As we enter the darkest months of the year, we need something to motivate us to keep going — and what better way than by thinking about music festivals? Arguably one of the biggest in the United States (and the world), Coachella has just revealed its lineup for the 2025 edition, which will take place over two consecutive weekends: April 11–13 and April 18–20. As usual, big names are paired with emerging artists to create a balanced offering. So, who’s playing next year? Here’s what you can’t miss.
Opening both Fridays, we have none other than Lady Gaga. The global superstar, who’s set to release her seventh studio album next year, will introduce it to the world live on one of the biggest stages she could find. Her first single from the record, Disease, showcases a darker, more twisted side to her — one that feels thrilling and fresh. There’s no doubt she’ll deliver one of the most talked-about performances of the entire festival (also, judging by her past tours, we’re certain she’ll give it her all and bring the drama!).
The other main headliners include Missy Elliott, Green Day, Charli xcx, Post Malone, and Megan Thee Stallion, offering a wide range of genres for the audience — from hip-hop to rock, electronic music, and more. K-pop superstars Lisa and Jennie, members of Blackpink, will each perform solo concerts at the festival. Additionally, the band XG will also be performing, proving that the genre is here to stay and change the rules. Other pop stars not to miss include FKA Twigs, Anitta, indie singer-songwriter Clairo, Tyla, Arca, and Beabadoobee.
Looking at the lineup, it’s clear that beyond the solo acts, next year’s festival will be all about bands. The Prodigy, Parcels, Kraftwerk, Japanese Breakfast, The Misfits, Darkside, Basement Jaxx, The Marías, Snow Strippers, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Fcukers, among many others, are set to dominate the 2025 edition.
As the desert night descends, there’s also an extensive selection of DJs and producers, including A. G. Cook, HorsegiirL, Artemas, Mau P, Sara Landry, Polo & Pan, Haai, VTSS, and DJ Gigola, among many others.
There are others artists hard to put into these categorisations, from Argentinian duo Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, who’ve gone viral these past weeks thanks to their Tiny Desk performance, to The Dare, the British suit-and-tie singer who’s been making waves this year with the album What's Wrong with New York and also for collaborating with Charli xcx. There’s also Shaboozey, nominated as Best New Artist in the 2025 Grammy Awards, and rappers Ty Dolla $ign, BigXthaPlug, T-Pain, and GloRilla.
