The episode dedicated to Christina Aguilera was recorded at Spotify’s Mateo studios in Los Angeles, where the artist delighted fans with reimagined acoustic versions of some of her greatest hits. Joined by renowned guests such as Sabrina Carpenter and Machine Gun Kelly (mgk), Aguilera breathed fresh life into the songs that marked the beginning of her stardom, like Genie in a Bottle, performed alongside mgk, and What a Girl Wants, featuring Sabrina Carpenter. These versions offer a new perspective on Aguilera’s classics, showcasing the artistic evolution she has undergone throughout her career.
The tribute to Christina Aguilera is part of the Spotify Anniversaries series, a collection of episodes celebrating iconic albums that have defined generations.
