A friend is a friend for life if you know how to take care of them, Carhartt Wip and Awake NY know it well, that's why they have decided to launch this Spring/Summer 2023 capsule collaboration, a celebration of the connection that brought the brands together and the evolution of this friendship over time. Eight styles combine Carhartt WIP's functional and utilitarian design and rugged silhouettes with Awake NY's signature graphics and embroidery.
Floral print motifs are a strong feature of the collection, such as the OG Active jacket in green, which is paired with the Double Knee trousers, also in green, but also in black and brown. The hooded sweatshirt and the varsity-style Teddy jacket in green and white with faux fur sleeves and patches, are also covered with graphic artwork and embroidered logos of both brands. In addition, the collaboration also includes short branded T-shirts that nod to the love between the brands in blue, knitwear such as a tan jacquard cardigan that also features a mix of iconography and the beanie, A Love Beanie, with the signature square knitted label on the front.
The campaign stars creatives from the Awake NY community and features such important figures as Raul Lopez, Jon Gray, Nevaskimp and legendary hip-hop artist Rakim. Created by creative director Alastair Mckimm and shot by fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, famous for his unique portrait style. The collection will be available from 6 April on the websites of the selected brands and shops.
