From showcasing emerging DJs in small, underground parties to becoming one of the biggest powerhouses in electronic music today, Boiler Room has grown to be a brand that’s synonymous with reckless fun, electrifying energy, and impeccable taste. Now they’re bringing all of this to Mexico City from November 14 to 17, as part of their World Tour series (also landing in Portugal and Australia).
Their first Mexican party will be about highlighting the country’s incredibly vibrant mobile soundsystem scene (aka ‘sonideros’), which has become an indelible mark in the capital’s cultural heritage. The lineup consists of legendary sonideros both past and present, including Sonido La Conga, Sonido La Changa, Sonido Ecko’s, Turbo Sonidero, or Sonidero MX, among others. On Friday though, they’ll balance it out with a stellar cast of international DJs and producers including Bambii, Clara Cuvé, Loris, TDJ, and local acts like Villaseñor b2b Sadgal.
On Saturday, we continue with a celebration of sounds of the diaspora. For its very special lineup, they celebrate a huge reunion of the leaders of the Mexican tribal sound, 3BallMty, as well as artists like Bladee, FKA Phaedra, a b2b from Toccororo and Surusinghe, or a live act by Yeyo. On Sunday, and for those who’ve survived the other three days (or who’ve stayed at home to give it their all on the last day), the lineup keeps the energy high with VTSS, Ketboi69 (the joint project of Kettama and Partiboi69), Julia Toporek, MCR-T, and Tatyana Jane.
