Since resuming release action in 2022, vivacious quintet b0ka has regained its position as one of Norway's most imaginative genre-blurring outfits. The members of the musical group, besides exploring other musical facets in parallel projects, maintain their attachment point with which they continue to give us catchy and playful pop and club music. A formula that they have shaped since they were teenagers and with which they make the most of music. Now they’re releasing Let Go via Beatservice, which fuels excitement for the eagerly awaited long-player set to follow later this year.
Being one of b0ka's most accessible works to date, this new single proves that the musical quintet is back stronger than ever. After an extended hiatus, the boys reunited in the recording studio in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and have been working non-stop since then to reconnect with the energy that makes them unique. An atmosphere charged with good vibes in which the artists, who have been friends since kindergarten, present pop-ready songs with roots extending deep into the fertile soil of house, disco, R&B and electronica.
On Let Go there is no lack of a neatly-woven bed of life-affirming synths, driving bass and contagious guitar riffs. Their new studio album will be released later in 2023, but it promises to recover the formula for success that positioned them years ago as one of the most promising musical projects in Norway. The hunger of the fans eagerly waiting will be satisfied very soon and in the meantime, we can already enjoy this new release, Let Go.
