Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, and Chloë Sevigny get together in Luca Guadagnino’s new thriller, After the Hunt. The prolific Italian director, known for movies like Queer, Challengers, Suspiria or Call Me by Your Name, is back to the silver screen with a new work that delves into complex relationships and dynamics, prejudice, and the characters’ darkest, deepest secrets.
The plot is rather simple: a college professor (Julia Roberts) finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil (Ayo Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield) and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light. From here, it all unravels in front of the viewer, who doesn’t know who or what to trust: what they’re seeing and hearing, what they’re imagining, or something else completely. This brainy mind game will hit cinemas in October, so stay tuned for more.
