Adrea releases One Way Flight today, a single that feels like a clear step forward. Written from a moment of confrontation with herself, the track distils doubt, ambition, and decision into three direct minutes. This is not a dramatic reinvention but a choice made consciously, shared without filters.
One Way Flight is about taking ownership of your life,” she says. She moved out before graduating high school and started working multiple jobs young. Survival came first. “It was hard, and I was proud of myself for surviving, but I kind of stopped dreaming.” Meeting expectations felt safer than asking bigger questions. Finishing school, getting promoted, and being a good girlfriend. “I checked all these boxes, but they never felt like enough.”
The song was written during Covid, pacing around her house, holding what she calls a 'practical conversation' with herself. She laid out the options plainly. Nothing she had achieved felt fulfilling, so she allowed herself to imagine becoming a songwriter. Something shifted, and the track became that turning point. “Sharing early versions of this song helped me get an agent and start playing my first gigs. Now, I live in Nashville, and I've managed to make a living as an artist. I feel like I manifested my dreams with this song, so it's very special to me,” she says.
Alongside the release, Adrea continues a run of live dates across the US, playing intimate venues and writer-round nights that suit the directness of her songwriting. The tour includes stops in Tennessee and more states.
Tonight, she plays in Nashville, presenting One Way Flight live for the first time since its release. “This song was the catalyst for so much positive change in my life. I’m excited to see where it goes.”
