If you’re reading this, you either haven’t quite locked in your summer plans yet, or you have — but you want them to be genuinely good. So let me let you in on a secret: Concept Hotel Group, the Ibizan outfit that’s spent years turning the island into something closer to a film set than a mass-market destination, is having its biggest moment yet. This summer they have it all: the hotels of the moment (including one built for pure dolce vita), a hotly anticipated no-phones club that’s already making waves, and an American diner set to become the season’s go-to spot. Let’s break it down.
Two years ago, we told you about Los Felices when it had just opened, and even then, everyone was talking about it. Versace shot a campaign within its walls, Pull&Bear dropped by too, and the hotel quickly lodged itself in the imagination of anyone looking for more than just a bed in Ibiza. But let’s set the scene properly, because if you haven’t been yet, it deserves a proper introduction.
Los Felices is a trip to California — by way of Ibiza. Think mid-century desert aesthetic: that universe of pastel hues, clean lines, and laid-back glamour where fifties and sixties celebrities used to disappear. This vibe has been transplanted to Cala de Bou across 113 rooms, each one dedicated to a different young designer, including Palomo Spain, Pepa Salazar, María Escoté, and Alan Crocetti. Their names are on the doors and inside, and the entire atmosphere — from the photos to the finishing touches — orbits around them. It’s a love letter to fashion that never tips into kitsch because it’s executed with real care: no explanatory placards, no stuffy curatorial text. You just live it.
The two pools (one pink, one yellow) are exactly what you’re picturing, and they look even better in person. It’s the kind of place where you arrive, slip into your swimwear, and spend a moment genuinely convinced you’re a bit of a Hollywood star. Then there’s Bambola, the restaurant. Created alongside Grosso Napoletano (the chain holding the record for the best artisan gluten-free pizza according to 50 Top Pizza), it’s one of the best reasons on the island to stay in for dinner.
This year, though, Los Felices takes a step that changes everything. Beneath the hotel, Nocturna is about to open: a boutique club for around four hundred people, developed in partnership with Tokyo Industries. It’s a strict no-phones zone, featuring a hi-fi sound system they’re describing as a Japanese listening room — but with a dance floor. The design comes courtesy of Soo Wilkinson and Dukant Atelier, while the musical direction is handled by Andrew Livesey, former booker at Pikes Ibiza and a genuine legend in the island’s nightlife for nearly two decades. So no, this isn’t just a club bolted onto the bottom of a hotel; it’s the most carefully considered nightlife project landing in Ibiza this summer. And on an island that knows its clubs, that’s saying something.
If Los Felices is fashion, Mongibello is pure elegance and the ultimate spot for a proper reset. The Santa Eulalia hotel draws its inspiration from the Ibiza that existed before it became what everyone knows it as today: the Ibiza of the sixties and seventies, which drew artists, intellectuals, and those who found the island a place to live slowly and well. The Ibicencan dolce vita, they call it — and the phrase is spot on.
There’s something about Mongibello that makes you want to slow down the moment you arrive. It might be the architecture facing the sea, the classic cars parked at the entrance, the jukebox playing Italian songs in the lobby, or the design inspired by (and featuring original pieces from) legendary Italian architect Gio Ponti. The 168 rooms and 32 suites are each dedicated to personalities who’ve left a real mark on the island, from Tony Pike and Ángel Nieto to Ángela Molina and Ricardo Urgell.
And for those who love a proper all-inclusive luxury experience: this year, the hotel earns its five-star rating. Expect valet parking, 24-hour room service, a barista at breakfast, and a brilliant lifestyle programme. This includes Bello Sessions by the pool, Lola Von Dage’s bingo, and Italodisco by Sr. Cardona for those long afternoons that effortlessly turn into evenings. Plus, the on-site restaurant, Sorella, boasts a menu substantial enough that you might genuinely never feel the need to leave.
Concept Hotel Group is the powerhouse behind all of this — the people responsible for giving each of their hotels across the island its own distinct identity. There’s Dorado for the music obsessives, with rooms paying tribute to rock legends; Tropicana with its Miami Modern aesthetic; Cubanito and its rooftop salsa nights in Cala Gració; and Romeo’s, the Route 66-style motel that even features a Vegas-style chapel, just in case the night takes you somewhere unexpected.
This year, Romeo’s also welcomes The Fitzgerald Diner. This Valencia-born chain has quietly conquered the Spanish mainland on the strength of great produce and open-fire cooking, and it promises to be the authentic American restaurant Ibiza has genuinely been missing. Rounding out the group are Grand Paradiso, where cinema takes centre stage, and Paradiso, which has spent the season running its lobby as a proper, fully-fledged art gallery, a genuine commitment to the arts that continues this year.
And next year? Acapulco Love, their new hotel coming to Cala de Bou, inspired by the hedonistic glamour of seventies Acapulco. The first renders are already doing the rounds, and they look every bit like the next venue everyone’s going to be talking about. But that’s 2027. For now, with everything this summer already has on offer, you’ve got plenty to be getting on with.
