The last time we had the chance to talk to Xander Ghost he told us that he had big plans for the future of the creative entity he founded in 2018; and the truth is that, since then, this firm, which has been “focused on functional design that provokes happiness” has done nothing but grow, and something tells us that it will continue to do so for a long, long time.
A Better Feeling focuses on links, on the synergy between the person and the product through this visual identity and a material language that works as an aesthetically precious symbiosis. “I think style is the first line of communication before you speak. I believe how you dress showcases your personality and feeling fresh enhances your mood,” Ghost told us, and together with the brand's head designer, Lily Max, they have managed to create their own identity, a unique product. Focusing their work on eyewear but completely distancing themselves from common references and using a creative process with architectural references and 3D techniques, they achieve cult pieces.
As if that wasn't enough, some time ago they introduced new products to their select catalogue, such as the Aluminum Candle – presented in a solid two-part aluminium container that envelops a wonderful vegetable wax candle – or the disturbing Ceramic Scented Toy, figures made of porous ceramic developed exclusively for the absorption and diffusion of fragrances. Want more? Don't worry, because they have told us that by 2022 they plan to expand the brand into furniture, outdoor accessories and jewellery, among other products. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't wait to see it.
For the moment, though, we just can't get enough of the new collection called Codex 22, which already has some models available on their website, and which has been photographed by a very good friend of METAL, Teddy Iborra, and produced by Xander and Lily.
