The self-proclaimed “writer of heartbreaks”, Louise Lemón has just released Tears as Fuel, her captivating new single. After a three-year hiatus since launching her EP Devil (2020), the singer and producer is back on track to offer her audience another beautifully written and produced track.
But this is Lemón’s third single this year. After the successful Midsummer Night and Shattered Heart, her previous two songs released in July and September respectively, the Swedish artist continues to tease new music from her upcoming album, Lifetime of Tears, set to release in February next year (available for preorder here). Continuing with her ‘death gospel’ style, and working with acclaimed producer Randall Dunn (Zola Jesus, Thurston Moore) on her upcoming album, Tears as Fuel is another raw, honest story about heartbreak, disappointment, sadness, and how to overcome those negative experiences.
“When all you have with someone is tears, you will drink those up like they are wine. I started telling myself, If love is true, he’ll truly hurt you, cause why else would there only be these tears,” the artist shares about her new single. “When you have nothing, pain is something, so sometimes you’d rather hold on to that than be left with nothing. The musicians I play with went above and beyond incorporating their passion and making this pain come to life and become something that is love,” she concludes.
