“I’m excited to invite you into a very, very special place,” says enthusiastically Rosamund Pike. “This is Hatchards, in London’s Picadilly. It’s one of the oldest bookshops in our capital,” she continues. Built in 1797, it’s a cult place for both avid book readers and tourists. However, today we’re stepping into it thanks to the Dior Book Tote Club, which invites us to delve into different authors’ universes through Rosamund’s point of view.
From the delirious, fun and chaotic road trip in Jack Kerouac’s On the Road to Joan Didion’s sharp and smart observations in Slouching Towards Bethlehem, to the heartbreaking A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara or happier, more playful children’s books and graphic novels, the actress keeps selecting titles she holds dear to her heart and adds them to the floral FW23 Dior Book Tote bag she’s elegantly carrying. “The other magical thing about the Dior Book Tote Club is that we are shooting in a bookshop after closing, which has a very special feel about it because there’s nobody here,” Rosamund highlights.
