Known as the shoe savants, By Far has long been about making strides. This time, the strides are longer, bolder and valiantly leaping into the uncharted waters of ready-to-wear. According to the Bulgarian brand, the inherent energy that defines them will resonate within the new collection, “chic, unpretentious, mischievous and alluring” – and really, what’s stopping us from taking their word for it?
We’ve seen celebrities and insiders alike sashaying down the streets with the coveted shoes and the tuck-and-go shoulder bag slung over their shoulder. Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and many more are all here to attest that come December 15th, our eyes should be peeled wide for that launch. The ready-to-wear collection is poised to debut with Cruise 2024 and will exclusively launch at their Los Angeles flagship store, as well as on e-commerce platforms Le Bon Marche and WOW Concept.
Contrary to what the name might suggest, By Far isn’t about distance, but a sweet embrace of family ties, named after their sons, Filip, Alec and Roman. Sisters Sabina Gyosheva and Valentina Ignatova, along with their childhood-friend-turned-creative-director, Denitsa Bumbarova, joined hands to bring forth the designer lifestyle brand. By Far sprouted into Instagram fame in 2016 and has since blossomed with a celebrity cult following, setting a benchmark for all the up-and-coming brands out there. Since then, the brand has stood firm in its mission to bring high-end quality as a standard for all. This is the same mission that brought the ready-to-wear line to life, a collection of easy and wearable contemporary classics.
Central to their collection lies the fundamental notion of enhancing ordinary, essential items by incorporating nuanced modifications. As always, Europe’s savoir-faire traditions and finest materials shape the line. Anticipate subtle transformations like a white ribbed tank with a dropped back, classic jeans in soft Japanese denim, a cashmere sweater with twisted contrast seams, and a leather racer jacket with a ‘90s boyfriend fit.
“While always looking ahead, the mood for this season starts with my need for soft comfort, fresh spontaneity in colours and exquisite materials. It’s an obsession with the idea of nonchalant elegance for a lifestyle that’s seriously playful,” says Denita Bumbarova. “Within the coming months, we will roll out a broad range of clothing, accessories, and shoes, encompassing all needs of a 360 wardrobe.”
