The second day of Milan Fashion Week began at 11:30 a.m. at the Palazzo del Senato, a unique location in the city center that was ready to welcome BOSS, the star of Wednesday’s first show. The venue, a hidden treasure turned into an oasis filled with greenery, immersed us in a serene atmosphere—a stark contrast to the city’s bustling energy during these days, when numerous presentations happen at a dizzying pace. It served as the stage for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection presentation, under the motto “Out of Office.”
As we approached Via Senato, where attendees of the BOSS show had gathered to discover the brand’s vision for the upcoming season, the energy was palpable. A host of well-known faces from around the world had gathered at the palace entrance, and moments later, David Beckham made a grand entrance, much to the delight of the brand’s fans who were packed behind the fence. The British icon was there to witness the first presentation since the announcement of his global, multi-year design collaboration with BOSS, which will result in capsule and seasonal collections designed and curated by him.
Once inside the Palazzo del Senato, photographers hurried to capture celebrities like Khalid, Kaya Scodelario, Micheal Ward, Jamie Campbell Bower, João Guilherme Ávila, and Maia Mitchell, among many others, seated in the front row, awaiting the show’s start. However, the usual speed and overstimulation that define these fast-paced events were masterfully balanced by the serene atmosphere of the incredible set design. The setting, which recreated an urban oasis, provided the perfect environment to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, offering a moment of calm amidst the chaos.
This is the concept behind the new BOSS Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which transitions from the office world showcased in their highly acclaimed Fall/Winter 2023 show to moments of disconnection—those precious and necessary times when we can be ourselves, do what we want, and embrace peace and silence in the pursuit of balance, something not always easy to achieve. BOSS continues to deliver collections that adapt to the diverse moments of everyday life, proving once again that they understand how to do it with finesse.
The show begins, and as the first looks appear, we realize that this collection is more relaxed than the previous one. In this collection, the suits are designed to adapt to the wearer, not the other way around, prioritizing movement and comfort to create a highly functional wardrobe suitable for all styles. The garments are conceived and designed to accompany us in our daily activities, becoming a second skin that allows for maximum enjoyment while maintaining a vision that promotes empowerment, freedom, and self-expression.
Proof of this is the inclusion, for the first time, of sports elements and accessories, which serve as a guiding thread for the message BOSS aims to convey with this collection—reminding us, in case we’ve forgotten, that life exists beyond work. The brand is determined to accompany us in every step we take, with freedom of movement becoming a fundamental pillar of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The color palette spans shades from aqua green to light blue and brick red, all masterfully layered over neutral tones that act as a canvas for adding vibrant elements to the composition.
Functionality and design come together seamlessly in a collection rich in layering and accessories, featuring briefcases, document holders, sports-inspired bags, and pashminas, among others. BOSS’s connection to the world of sports extended beyond just the front row. A host of athletes, celebrities, and some of the most recognizable social media personalities walked the runway at yesterday’s show, including Taylor Fritz, Matteo Berrettini, Alica Schmidt, Nicolò Martinenghi, Loris Karius, Miles Chamley-Watson, Khaby Lame, and Mew Suppasit.
Once the show wraps up, accompanied by upbeat music to kickstart the day with energy, it’s time to reconnect with the reality of the bustling streets. The noise of the traffic remains, and the rush to the next show begins. But despite the hectic pace, we all seem a bit calmer, still reflecting on how practical the pieces from the latest BOSS collection would be for tackling the day ahead.
