Shoe brand Camper is known for their bold advertising campaigns, surprising retail spaces and interesting collaborations. For their project Camper Together they partner with creative thinkers in the fields of art, fashion and architecture to create limited edition products and unique stores. Their latest collaboration with the American fashion label Eckhaus Latta, designed by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta, is another addition to a list of inventive collections that push the boundaries of contemporary design.
The eclectic style of Eckhaus Latta creates a perfect mix with the functionality of the shoe brand. The American duo has been exploring the relationship between footwear and knitwear since they were students at the Rhode Island School of Design. Collaborating with Camper has made this design concept reality — the special item in the collection is a ‘trompe-l’oeil’, an athletic sock merged with a block heel. An artful approach to fashion assumes the quality of an everyday object, in this case a basic tube sock. The shoe comes in three natural tones for women and is available in selected Camper stores.
