As yesterday we presented Dior Men's Fall 2021 collection, today we're sharing a video that schowcased the incredible artwork but especially the craftsmanship and savoir-faire that goes behind the scenes of the making of the tailoring of garments. Based on an ancient Chinese, Qing dynasty technique, used for royalty, American artist Kenny Scharf's illustrations are brought to life, by using almost 300 different colours of woven silk yarn, that have been hand-drawn, traced, hole-punched and patterned, so that each drawing is fully printed on the fabric. Watch this precious artistry up close to get a glimpse of this two-thousand-year-old skill.
