When it comes to changing the viewer’s mindset, British photographer Phil Poynter is second to none. For Prada’s Sport 2001 collection, he shot a campaign full of his notorious vibrancy. Aerial and awe-inspiring, the campaign seemed to capture a collective effervescence certainly linked to the sport community. Yet when Phill Poynter staged such a large group of people – around two hundred choreographed models – he overtly created a fashionable image that can only recall of the Mass Games.
