Are you ready to explore everything that the Cincy Region has to offer by day, and revel in art, joy, and a celebration of light by night? BLINK is back to show us that light is an element with no limits. Presented in different shapes and formats, several creatives now immerse themselves in some of the infinite possibilities that it offers, giving us a multisensory experience that we can enjoy in the coming days. And the event is free to the public. Having been experienced by over 1.3 million people in 2019, the sustainable platform with Fifth Third Bank, a recognized leader in environmental sustainability, will be offsetting the carbon emissions from the festival's lighting installations through an Ohio-based carbon reduction project.
This is a decisive step towards taking care for the planet that shows the commitment to sustainability that BLINK has always defended. It is produced and curated by its Executive Partners, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, AGAR, and the Haile Foundation, and produced in conjunction with its Partners ArtWorks, Cincy Nice. You can't miss the largest mural in Ohio created by Tristan Eaton, who is very well-known for his large-scale public murals, found throughout the world from New York to Paris to Shanghai.
Among the participants in the event, we must highlight the visual artist Shantell Martin, who starts from her signature black and white style enriched by her background as an intuitive philosopher and cultural facilitator to create a unique experience; Afro-surrealist visual artist Vince Fraser; Case Maclaim, or BLINK’s dedicated partner ArtsWave, who presents the first instance of purely visual artFlow Series, which features renowned Black artists with a brand new mural by Max Sansing and projection component by Chaske Haverkos.
Greg Mike, Add Fuel or iconic FAILE, Brooklyn-based artistic collaboration between Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, are some of the names that you shouldn't miss in this new edition. And that's not all. Drone shows are permeating the Cincinnati skies these days. And what better way to end the day than at the Asianati Night Market , which is available every night?
