Two days ago – during Milan Men’s Fashion Week – we came back to the refined setting of 10 Corso Como to attend the launch of the new capsule collection by MSGM and Toiletpaper. The pleasant cocktail event offered its guests a music selection by dj Andrea Ratti and was held just a few hours after the MSGM men’s fall 2015 fashion show. MSGM designer Massimo Giorgetti and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, co-founder of Toiletpaper (along with artist Maurizio Cattelan), presented a new playful collection of sweatshirts, t-shirts, tote bags and men’s swimming trunks to a crowd of editors, bloggers and fashion insiders.
After a previous successful collaboration, the creative spirit of MSGM is once again wisely intermingled with the desecrating and surreal images of Toiletpaper. The result is an amalgamation that celebrates the bond between fashion design and contemporary art through a colorful use of pop prints created with the independent magazine’s most iconic images.
“Eyed” maxi roses and shiny juicy apples blossom on the white canvas of easy t-shirts and sweatshirts with fashionable cuts are intended to become next season’s must haves.
