As the pace of technology accelerates, as societies further embrace a constant stream of messaging, movement and materialism, we as individuals are left with an overload of information. Initially, this is maybe exciting, even inspiring. But it’s also overwhelming, often leaving us feeling disconnected and disorientated. These days we are introduced to change so rapid, so vigorous, so far reaching that the human mind barely has time to digest it, to process it, to understand the consequences, the after affects. We have too many choices, so many decisions, we are pushed to choose quickly, fearful to get left behind. In the midst of too much change in too short of a period time, we are thrown into a state of personal and societal distress— caught up in the momentum, overcome by future shock.
