After giving the Caprisongs a listen – or way too many, to be honest – we can safely say that, although it may be a bit of a detour from Mary Magdalene, it truly is one of her best works. We're now in the phase where we're expectantly waiting each week for a new music video to come out, after the release of videos for Tears In The Club, featuring The Weeknd, and Meta Angel, and yesterday we were rewarded with a gem: Jealousy featuring Rema.
Choreographed by long time collaborator Kash Powell, the video shows a group of people dancing to the beat, with the main focus being FKA Twigs, of course, whilst shots of Rema appear in black and white. It's inspired by Soul II Soul's 1989 video Jazzie's Groove – they even got to borrow archival garments from the band. This is a tribute to Black British culture from the late '80s and '90s through a sleek, minimalist yet highly-choreographed music video for one of the album's catchiest songs. We wouldn't expect anything else from FKA Twigs.
