Far from being limited to offering food and drinks, some restaurants offer a unique multisensory experience. A journey with a stopover in sight, smell and taste in which attention to detail in the decoration meets a wide and stimulating offer of cocktails and dishes influenced by different countries and cultures. A perfect example of this appetizing symbiosis is The Streetfood Club. With locations in Utrecht and Breda (The Netherlands), this mix of street food, all-day brunch, cocktails and smashing interior takes us on a food trip from the slums of Mexico to the streets of Bangkok. Let’s go!
We were lucky to get to know their fantastic local in Utrecht, but you can also live the experience in their restaurant in Breda. And in both cases, we assure you that the experience begins as soon as you cross the front door. You will find different atmospheres in each of the venue's rooms, some more intimate and romantic, others more festive and energetic. Energies for all tastes to choose from, which will make the fascinating gastronomic tour that is to come a moment to remember. Always accompanied by its impeccable staff, ready to help you and recommend everything you need with a smile, which contributes to making the experience a complete success.
Before delving into the menu, where you will find a very interesting offer of dishes to share, we recommend that you take a look at the cocktail menu. It’s one of their specialities, and after having tried them we can understand why. From On Wednesdays We Wear Pink (TSFC gin, hibiscus syrup, elderflower syrup, lime and Organics black orange) to their former signature cocktail, Jenny From The Block, which mixes Lala tequila, triple sec, ginger, lime, pineapple, japaleño, Thai basil and coriander. A refreshing and powerful journey through the palate for all nostalgics. Special mention to the names of the different options to choose from on their drinks menu. Pornstar Martini, Let's Get Spanish or Bring Me Back To Bali are just some of them.
It’s time to delve into the dinner menu, where we find a wide range of succulent dishes. Among our recommendations, we must highlight their exquisite Prawn Dumplings (with ponzu, sesame seeds and China rose) and the pork ones, sure hit! And of course the selection of baos they offer. Be sure to order the ebi tempura bao buns, with ebi tempura shrimp, and the crispy chicken bao buns (steamed bao bunds with crispy fried chicken, served with Little gem, kimchi, kimchi sauce and mayo).
Among the meat dishes, we suggest the yakitori, which is grilled yakitori chicken thigh skewer with mole, spring onion and macadamia crumble, and the KFC, Korean-style fried chicken with kimchi, kimchi mayo, spring onion and cress. If you are a fish lover or want to explore options that do not include chicken, the pepesan ika is also a great choice. It's steamed spicy mackerel served with atjar ketimoen and jasmine rice. And the vegan options could not be missing, all of them very tasty. Gobhi Manchurian, bokchoy, truffled bimi or the outstanding Guacamole are some of the dishes included in this section of the menu.
Are you passionate about desserts? The Streetfood Club is also your place. Here you can try their chocolate-caramel shortcake or their apple gyoza, which you can also make vegan! We recommend that you go with time and without haste to fully enjoy the gastronomic journey, letting yourself be carried away by the influences and flavours that converge in each of its dishes and accompanying the experience with some of its best cocktails. Sure bet!
