Watching the faces of Murdoc, Noodle, 2D and Russel again has given us even more excitement than waking up and knowing it’s already Friday! After seven years since its last album was published, the British virtual band Gorillaz has just made a major comeback. The digitally created foursome recently announced that they are launching its newest album, titled Humanz, on 28th April. But for those of you who are not patient enough, we have even better news: you can already listen to four brand new tracks – Saturnz Barz, Andromeda, Ascension and We Got The Power – and watch a mind-blowing interactive 360 video.
Following their always boundary-pushing philosophy towards technology, Gorillaz have just published a 6-minute 360-degree video for their track Saturnz Barz, directed by Jamie Hewlett, with which the viewer can interact. Set on a spirit house full of cool-yet-creepy monsters, the four characters start on a tablet screen and end up on a psychedelic trip throughout the Universe, rainbow-coloured asteroids included. Sounds good? It looks even better!

In addition to the video, the full track list of the album has been released and, even more important, the names of its collaborators. From legendary music icons such as Grace Jones and De La Soul to more emerging artists such as Kelela and Zebra Katz, the list is so amazing we can’t wait for April to arrive. In the meantime, we’ll keep listening to the four available songs on loop and play with the video in order to feel closer to them.
